The enslaved peoples houses had a loud tv constantly playing that you couldn’t turn off and the “plantation house” was built in the early 1930s that was just a house inspired by a plantation house. The owner didn’t allow taking pictures inside even though she has her house on a tour for an astounding $28 per person. (I still did though because I have no respect for a woman who builds a house to look like a plantation owner's house) The tour guide just talked about where the new owner bought all her furniture and didn’t educate about the lives on the plantation. There were far too many people on the tour to look around. We were just herded like cattle from room to room unable to look at anything the room had to offer unless we stayed behind. The garden outside the house has not been up-kept. Worth at most $5 but should be free. John D., in the visitors center was great though. Interacting with him was by far the best part of the experience
