At over 7 hours, the Panama Bird Watch Workshop is a reasonable length Specialized Guided Birding Tour in the surrounding areas of the National Park Baru Volcano. You have an exceptionally knowledgable guide who comes very well equipped with binoculars and scopes. If you are even just a little bit interested in the beauty and uniqueness of birds, if you are a true Bird Watching aficionado, or anything in between, this is the perfect tour for you. Your guide, Raul, is one of the best and most appreciated Bird Watch guides on the planet! You will see lots of unique birds, and you will learn more about bird watching and locating than you knew when you arrived for your tour. The itinerary is very fluid. Keeping in consideration what we learn from a completed questionnaire you will submit, and the conditions in the field at the time of your workshop, your guide will take you to the very best stops that meet all these conditions and criteria. If you like photography, bring your camera!

How the day could have been better is impossible to say! Raul was friendly, very knowledgeable and a pleasure with whom to spend the day. He freely and patiently shared his extensive knowledge of not only Panamanian birds of the cloud forest, (primary and secondary forests) but also seemed to be knowledgeable about birds from other parts of the world. The day was not inexpensive, but I’d happily repeat the experience myself, and give Cloud Forest and Raul an enormous thumbs up. Highly recommended!

I went out with Raul for 2 days and it was the experience of a lifetime. His skill in knowing where, when and how to find and enjoy not only the birds, but the entire ecosphere was amazing. Also, he is an incredible person that I learned so much from. Highly recommended!!

Raul was phenomenal. You will not be disappointed. He was very knowledgeable, brought professional equipment and his bird calls were excellent. He went above and beyond to ensure we saw every bird we wanted to see!
