Our Bordeaux food tour is a walking tour around the historical center of Bordeaux. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Do Eat Better tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing French culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. Aurèlien was a phenomenal tour guide! On this tour you get to try authentic French cuisine and wines. Our tour guide was super informative, professional and friendly. I highly recommend this experience, this tour was a great welcome to Bordeaux!

Delightful tour led by Clara, a friendly and vivacious guide. We went to a wine shop and tasted three great wines after getting a brief history of Bordeaux. The wines were delicious and no hard sell, just an offer if interested including shipping. The wine shop presented a thorough background on each of the wines, including region, style, tasting notes and price. Then we went to lunch at a bistro that had very good food. My wife and I opted for a glass of wine to accompany it (7 euro each; not part of the tour but worth it). Then we had three local desserts, ending at a chocolatier (where we caved and bought some for home). Definitely recommend it to get familiar with the historic area of Bordeaux and enjoy good local food and wine.

Our tour guide Clara was lovely, prompt, had excellent written communication in English and very pleasant to be around. We really enjoyed our walk around the city with her, however I would consider this more of a intro to the city walking tour, to help orient yourself if staying for a couple of days. The tastings were sweet/ dessert oriented, like pastries and chocolates and we were expecting more food and wine pairings. Lunch was a nice stop but perhaps take guests somewhere with a few more entree options (there were only 2 options). Having said that, Clara was very accommodating and able to be flexible. My travel companion has many food allergies and we were able to stop to get her a separate Lunch (sandwich) and Clara even offered to stop again at a local park so she could eat. We also were able to make casual stops like to a tea shop and look at jewelry. Think of this as a nice casual stroll through the city with a friend as you pop on and out of local establishments to get sweet treats.
