If you feel annoyed by the city crowd and want to get away from it, why not take a ride in the cable car and explore the pristine nature of the mountain Trebević? It was always the most favorite spot for the locals to enjoy the fresh air and the best panorama of the city. The mountain Trebević is known in
Slavic mythology as the place of sacrifice, but in modern times it is known as one of four Olympic mountains. The 1984 Winter Olympic games were the first-ever held in a socialist state and in a Slavic language-speaking country. The Sarajevo games have also been the only Olympics so far to be hosted by a Non-Aligned Movement member and by a Muslim-majority city.
Take a walk on the bob-sled track, see some great graffiti, have a cup of coffee and let your inner spirit free.

Latin Bridge, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina The bridge took its name from the neighborhood on the left bank of the Miljacka, where Sarajevo’s Catholics resided. From 1918 to 1993 the structure bore the name, Principov Most (bridge), after Gavrilo Princip, who was only a few meters from this bridge when he assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sofie. This incident, known as the Sarajevo Assassination, led to the beginning of the First World War. 5 minutes

The 2,100 meter-long-system connected Bistrik, on the left side of the Miljacka, to Mt. Trebević, “the lungs of Sarajevo” and the top excursion site in town. The cable car will take us to the top of the mountain where we will talk more about the Winter Olympic Games. 20 minutes
Trebević, Sarajevo 71000, Bosnia and Herzegovina It’s hard not to notice Trebević, with its distinctive peak towering over the south side of Sarajevo. Many generations of Sarajevans used to visit this area by cable car, which ran from Bistrik to the Olympic Bobsled tracks. The cable car was devastated during the war, and it is renovated in 2018. Today, the area is accessible by cable car, by foot or by a 20-minute car/taxi ride along the road to Jahorina via Vraca to reach Brus. Known as “the lungs of Sarajevo,” Trebević is the closest mountain that is reachable via the cable car from the heart of Stari Grad (Old Town), from the neighborhood of Bistrik. 60 minutes

Well worth the moderate price. I really enjoyed the cable car ride and the bobsled track was super interesting. Just remember: The further you walk down the bobsled track, the tougher your walk back up will be...
