The host family was very friendly and the food was excellent. I got some good photos of Sarajevo at night from the hill too.

The family that we had dinner with was so lovely! They're such positive, hopeful people despite the conditions that they had to live in for over 3 years. It was so interesting to hear about life in Sarajevo from three women who lived through the war, but also to talk with their daughters and learn about life for those born after the war. We felt welcomed like family and would highly recommend this experience!
