Visit the Whistler Blackcomb Mountain for this 2.5-hour glacier glissading (snow sliding) experience. Glacier Glissading is the thrill of sliding down glacier snow in the summer, combined with an interpretive hike of the 10,000+ year old Whistler Glacier.     After taking the Whistler Village Gondola to the top, the tour starts at the mountaintop office. You will hike with the guide to the base of the Whistler Glacier and start hiking up the slope. Each person can choose how high they want to go before sliding down the summer snow.

  • Service animals allowed
  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately
  • What to bring: Hiking shoes, gloves, small backpack, water, snacks, rain jacket, waterproof pant & change of clothes
  • Minimum age is 8 years
  • Peak 2 Peak Gondola Ticket is required and not included (unless chosen Peak 2 Peak) Package.
  • A maximum of 8 people per guide
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

This was a highlight of our trip to Whistler. Due to the warm day and the melting glacier, our guide, Emile, took us on a unique experience that was part glacier walk, part glissade, and part mountain climbing. It was an amazing experience that we will not forget.

Don’t book with Get Your Guide. We booked well in advance but the tour operator emailed me a month ago to inform us that the activity could not take place as scheduled. I missed the email so I guess that’s on me but a simple phone call would have been appreciated. Meanwhile Get Your Guide still collected my payment a week before the activity and continued to provide updates up until the day of leading me to believe it was still happening. Get Your Guide’s directions to the meeting location also were not accurate so we drove around for an hour for nothing. Better communication is needed to prevent this from happening again. At least a refund is being processed.
