I travel a lot and take advantage of these tours frequently. It takes a lot to coax a poor review from me. Let me first say that the guide seemed like a good guy. That said, we were the only people with him on a non-private tour, which was a red flag. He also showed up looking fairly sloppy and disheveled. Not a crime in and of itself but indicative of a general lack of professionalism. As we toured the museum, it became apparent that he had at most a cursory knowledge of the actual collection. Instead, after a few words of explanation at each stop, he filled the time speaking about his own artistic philosophy and interpretation of the piece. I don’t expect someone to be able to answer every question, but a basic knowledge of the time periods and provenance of the pieces on display isn’t unrealistic for a tour that costs hundreds of dollars. Overall, desultory and uninformative. Please skip.

Tour guide was very good, knowledgeable, engaging, helpful. Reason we did not give another star is that it was very difficult to find the guide.. Spent 20 minutes looking for her. Would have been helpful had she raised a flag saying Viator or told us she would be eg wearing a red hat or doing something to identify herself.

This was a great experience, and my first time visiting this museum. The guide was nice, knowledgeable, and overall friendly. The collections within the museum were amazing, especially if you enjoy history!!
