    The belfry dates from the 13th century. This remarkable building is 83 meters high. The belfry is protected as a World Heritage Site. Anyone who climbs the 366 stairs will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Bruges and the surrounding area. Every 15 minutes it's possible to listen to the sound of the carillon with the 47 bells.

  • Basilica of the Holy Blood, Bruges, Belgium
    The lower chapel is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture. The chapel has arched vaults. Inside there is a bas-relief which shows the Baptism of Christ. The relic of the Holy Blood is located in the upper chapel. The upper chapel was redecorated in the nineteenth century in Neo-Gothic style and is impressive.

  • Gruuthusemuseum, Bruges, Belgium
    The palace of the lords of Gruuthuse has three beautiful turrets. These reflect the wealth of the family. The Gruuthuse family made a fortune by selling "gruut", a spice mixture which they used to make beer. In the 15th century "gruut" was replaced by hops. The family could still levy taxes on every barrel of beer that was sold in the city! This is obvious as we admire the beauty of the city palace!

  • De Halve Maan Brewery, Bruges, Belgium
    What you see here is "unlikely". Everybody is amazed when they see it for the first time! An "underground pipeline" takes the beer from the brewery to the bottling plant outside the city. What a great idea! Yes it helped to ban heavy trucks from the city center.

    An oasis of silence surrounded by white houses. This remarkable piece of world heritage housed beguines, emancipated lay-women who led a devout and celibate life. Today the beguinage is inhabited by 5 nuns of the Order of St. Benedict and single women .

  • Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk, Bruges, Belgium
    The Church of Our Lady dominates the skyline of the city. It is quite literally the ‘high spot’ of the stonemason’s art in Bruges. Among the many art treasures is a beautiful Carrara marble Madonna and Child. The statue was created by Michelangelo. The ticket is also included. Don't miss this masterpiece!

Excellente visite en famille grâce à Ann car nous avons pu explorer Bruges de façon historique et culinaire. Cela nous a permis de découvrir des lieux et des histoires en dehors des guides traditionnels. Nous recommandons fortement.

The walking tours did not stop to give you the information about the site or allow time for pictures and to take in the area. We just moved on to the next and the time on your own was confusing because the walk was not clear on the sites to see

Ann est une guide attentionnée, qui nous a fait visiter Brugges de manière originale et insolite à pied durant plus de 2 heures. Des petites pauses pour déguster des chocolats, boire une bière locale et manger une gaufre nous ont permis de savourer et de nous imprégner de la vie à Brugges. Ann partage des anecdotes et histoires de Brugges avec beaucoup d’amour. Très à l’écoute et intentionnée. A recommander.
