The tour gives an introduction to the arrival of the first Magyar tribes, the Ottomans, the Hapsburg Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, WW1, WW2, The Soviet Occupation, and life in current-day Hungary. Complete with recommendations for the best bars, restaurants, spas, and cultural spots in the city. You can tip the guides as little or much as you wish depending on the experience. There is a booking fee payable to trip adviser. Our tours are fast-moving and our guides are professional historians. We also keep our tour groups small, below 25 people, to allow you to hear and see the guide easily and to have plenty of time to ask questions.

Was fantastic, got such a great rundown on buildings, history, quirky Budapest info. Gave us a great idea of layout and feel for the city. Did on our first morning and loved it. Gave us so many ideas for the days to follow

I went on a walking tour of Budapest with Victoria. I really liked it, Victoria is very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Hungary. We passed through many interesting sites and learnt a lot about the city. I definitely recommend!

Atilla was friendly and knowledgeable. We visited various historical spots throughout the city. The tour was longer than planned but it meant we did not rush. It was just average though as there were limited photo opportunities and the group was larger than advertised.
