We loved this unique and guided tour. Tamas was very informative and fun. His knowledge of the area and history of the bars was impressive. We enjoyed his company and talked about all kinds of topics. Great way to spend a nice evening!

My visit to Budapest was unique. I booked through a company (Journee) that matched me with Budapest to visit for 4 days with planned activities I had no idea about. This ruin bar activity was one of them. I’m not sure it’s something I would’ve booked for myself but I ended up having a great time! Tamas is a great conversationalist with a lot of knowledge and passion for Hungary and its rich history. With his 20 years of experience watching the evolution of the ruin bars of Budapest he is the best guy to take you around with plenty of recommendations. We were a small group and I met 2 lovely ladies from Canada on the same tour! You must see the ruin bars for one night in Budapest! If you’re feeling brave - try a Palinka shot!
