The tour guide was unprofessional and incompetent. I rented out the whole bus for a group of 30+ people. Prior to the trip, a lovely Viator staff (Zsófia) and I had agreed on a tour itinerary. However, on the day of the trip, the tour guide went off of the itinerary and lead the tour on her own will. I reminded and asked her to follow the agreed itinerary, however she disregarded the request and instructed the bus driver to drive the bus to her preferred locations. Throughout the tour, the guide was not engaging, and demonstrated poor English proficiency and presentation skills, which lead us without any educational benefit from the tour. In addition, at the end of the tour, the tour guide pressured us to provide gratuity by verbalising the economic difficulties in Hungary in comparison to the wealth in the US (we were a group of international individuals, including the US).

Christine and Laszlo were absolutely great! Laszlo was an excellent driver and made us feel like VIPs. Christine's knowledge of Budapest and Hungary's history is unparalleled- it is almost disappointing that we only had a few hours as it felt like she could have spent the whole day telling us the fascinating history and other facts about the area. Our group of six had so many different questions ranging from the culture to both early and recent history- she always had so much to say and unpack, in addition to great recommendations about places to visit beyond just the tour. 10/10 Would definitely recommend them for any English speakers visiting Budapest.
