We only had two days in Budapest so we needed a very efficient walking tour to help us get our bearings. Gabby was amazing! Her knowledge of the city’s history along with her willingness to understand what our interests were led to a delightful 1/2 day tour. We used the metro and buses to cover a lot of ground.
Our tour included a cup of coffee (or tea) and a delightful Budapest cake. Gabby also called the railway company on our behalf to help navigate some tricky questions about where our train to Bucharest was departing from (the main station was undergoing some renovations). Very tricky to manage Hungarian - but Gabby’s English was 100% fluent and conversational.
Yes, this walking tour costs a bit more than many of the others - however, I maintain that you only get what you pay for. Just getting to Budapest from Australia cost an arm and a leg, so ‘skimping on the pate’ and hoping to save a few bucks is (in my humble opinion) both foolish and a false economy.
For the wise traveller - THIS is the private walking tour you won’t regret paying for.
Thanks Gabby - we had a great time and learned heaps about your beautiful city.
Enjoy….
