Are you ready for a travel in time? Join a joyride in an old school Trabant car! A qualified driver will take you to Memento Park where you'll have 2 hours free time to explore Statue Park, The Most Cheerful Barrack, Stalin's Grandstand and the Red Star Store. Gigantic communist propaganda statues spin you back to the era of the Cold War and allow a glimpse behind the Iron Curtain. English speaking guests get an hour-long guided tour in Memento Park or can choose to get the visitors' guide at the desk and enjoy the exploration on their own! The visitors' guide is available in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German languages. Please note that the guided tour in Memento Park can be shared with fellow travelers, only the Trabant transfer is private! Travelers can customize the route to and back to Memento Park, can add additional stops en route that fits in the tour length.

Worth the trip out of Budapest (we used public transport and it was fine) but recommend the guided tour. Our guide was so informative, friendly and passionate about the monuments and history, she brought it all to life and made us really reflect on communism and the use of propaganda.

We had such a great time with Judit! She picked us up from our hotel in her Trabant, drove us to Memento Park, gave us a tour of the place and drove us back to the city center. A guided tour of Memento Park is a must - Judit shared so much knowledge about history, politics, and art. She was witty and moving. It was a unique experience, the highlight of our visit to Budapest. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful tour with Judit. She picked us up at our hotel, drove us in her lovely Trabant to Memento Park, gave us a tour of the Park, and then took us to an old school restaurant called Bambi. She was timely, fun, and extremely informative. Memento Park is absolutely worth visiting and was a highlight of out time in Budapest. It is privately run and needs all the support it can get.
