We had a fantastic day trip with our guide Dilfuza. She was on point with all the landmark sites in Bukhara. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city. Dilfuza was able to fill in the historic significance of each location. I will highly recommend this tour especially with Dilfuza.

Bukhara is really the pearl of the Silk Road with several surviving buildings that have been expertly restored and in some cases, like the madrassahs, are still in use. I took ibrohim and Ali’s GOTOUZBEKISTAN agency’s one-day tour, traveling via the high-speed train from Tashkent to Bukhara. Even more than Samarkand, Bukhara remains central, as the crossroads of the Silk Road, to understanding and experiencing the history of Uzbekistan. The exquisite buildings are stunning! My guide Dilfuza, because of her deep knowledge of Uzbek politics and history, including both the British presence and Soviet occupation, explains clearly and in detail, Bukhara’s significance and its place in the history of Central Asia. If you’re going to Uzbekistan, I’d highly recommend this particular tour as well as the agency’s Samarkand one-day tour which I took earlier in the week. Both are well worth it!

A wonderful tour with the very knowledgeable Dilfuza, who speaks excellent English and is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Bukhara and Uzbekistan. She was also flexible in enabling me to tailor the program to my individual needs, expanding the number of places that I was able to visit over the two days/one night that I was there. Highly recommended.
