The staff was very friendly, the views from the tour were gorgeous, and the whole thing felt ver safe. The facility was a bit fortress-esque but I’d rather that than be trafficked by a cartel, I suppose! I’ve seen complaints on here about hidden fees and up selling, but I didn’t really have an issue with that. The park-entry fee of $25/pp was disclosed up front and the reviews all make clear that you have to pay for photos. I also get the No camera thing. I don’t see how even a passenger could take photos effectively and a driver couldn’t do so safely. It’s $20 for each printed photo or $80 for a usb and electronic download of all the pics. They take decent enough pics and if you’re dropping a few hundred for the family, you might as well. The facility is nice, with a decent (and reasonably priced) food and alcohol selection while you’re waiting for the bus back.
Side bar - The Cabo Adventures “swim with the dolphins” tour has the same no photos rule, but charges $335 for photos!!!! Those guys suck, avoid them.
I had fun and my 11 year old son had a blast. 10/10 would do again.
