It was a disappointing excursion. We booked a beginners ride as three of the four of us were beginners, their horses were fairly suitable in temperament but not in size. I believe Mexico perhaps do not give weight limits for their horses but as a rider in the UK I believe the horse should only carry a maximum 20% of its own body weight. I can tell you this was definitely not the case. My horse was certainly far from calm which scared the other three riders, meaning we had to end the ride before it even started. I’m sure if you are a experience rider this ride would be okay. There were many things that I was not comfortable with, such as the horse being tied in the sun with all its tack on and no access to food, water or shade. Personally, I cannot recommend this tour. I also didn’t appreciate being called a liar by Viator when I commented on the horses well-being.

The pick up was convenient and they accommodated dropping us off in the centre which made our day-planning a lot easier. Gabriel, our tour guide with the horses was incredible. Super friendly, great conversation, good vibes all around. You can tell he is a genuine person with a beautiful heart. Thank you for such a fun experience. My butt and back still hurt from the horse riding (I tried to race) but it was super worth it. This experience made #1 on my list from my first trip to Cabos
