This was not the exact tour I did, but I couldn’t find the one I had. I did a whale watch tour and it was amazing. We were alone on the boat, and it was a small boat so it made it very special. We stopped at the arch on the way which was a bonus. We went out into the water and our guide made sure to stay away from other boats. He would shut the engine down and the whales would come jumping up, feeling comfortable with the quiet atmosphere. It was beautiful to watch them from so close. The guide was so respectful to the whales and anytime an other boat came near us he would drive away as to not crowd any whales or scare them. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. He also put a microphone under the water and we listened to the whales sing ????

Our tour guide/boat captain clearly knocked himself out to help us find whales. We had been out on the water for over 3/4 of the time we were allotted and heard him chattering on the radio asking others. Suddenly he gunned the engines and took us further away from the coastline where we were treated to a breaching juvenile humpback for several minutes and then we were all surprised by a small pod of orcas. He lingered quietly in these waters for us all to get our fill of the activity. What a rewarding experience!
