12 Days Cairo - Alexandria and Nile Cruise by Flight (Ancient Egypt)

In January 2022 we did a tour with Luxor and Aswan Travel. This April for my 85th birthday we returned to Egypt and requested Shimaa Esmail again. This tour company met us at the airport and returned us to the airport the first time and to the port for our cruise so we always felt like we were in good hands. Shimaa is exceptional and listened to our requests. Last year we did the Pyramids and requested a return trip to the Step Pyramid, which is my favorite. We were able to go inside this time. We were on a MSC cruise from Egyprt to Italy and so we spent few days in Cairo first. The cruise took us to Petra and Luxor and Aswan Travel met us for a tour. Last year we did the Nile Cruise and it is a must. The hot air balloon ride we did again this year. Both times we stayed at the Mena House and would stay there again. Luxor and Aswan Travel planned what we asked. More crowds this year than last year so travel is up and that is a good thing for tourism. We plan to go back after the new museum opens.

If you are looking to explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt then Luxor and Aswan Travel is your company! Wow, just wow!!! 5 stars is not enough to rate this travel company! My husband and I have been dreaming of seeing the wonders of Egypt for forever. Last year we finally decided to make our dream come true. I started researching the trip on Tripadvisor and found many reviews praising them, so I emailed them and Mr Hany answered immediately. I was very impressed by his quick response and deep knowledge and willingness to make anything work. We corresponded by e-mail for 3 weeks refining our itinerary till it included everything on my wish list. We crafted a private tour for just myself and my husband with a driver and a guide. This included the pyramids, the Cairo museum, the temples of Karnak and Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, a cruise down the Nile and Abu Simbel. We just got back from Egypt yesterday and all I have to say is WOW!!!! Ancient Egypt exceeded expectations with wonder after wonder! So amazing it is hard to pick a best day. And Luxor & Aswan travel also exceeded expectations! Everything was perfect! The guides and drivers were great. The guides, Mohammed Badaway (upper Egypt) and Zienab (lower Egypt) were wonderful, very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to modify the day as requested. Mohammed surprised us by including the Ramesseum when he realized how interested I was in seeing it. We stayed at fabulous hotels, especially loved Mena House, and we loved the cruise down the Nile on the Livingstone. And one special request I had for Hany was that we have non-smoking cars and non-smoking hotel rooms and he came through on both! Wow! This was an amazing trip! I just want to thank Hany and our guides, Mohammed and Zienab, for fabulous memories of Egypt!

Received at the airport on arrival. Stayed at the best hotels, cruised on the best boats, dined at the best restaurants, enjoyed personalised tour at our own pace in private in car/van with a dedicated tour guide. Then seen off at airport at departure.
