As a solo female traveler coming to Egypt I was skeptical of who I would be booking with, and who would be my guide. I was lucky enough to be placed with Rasha yehia Mubarak. She is an egyptologist and is very passionate about her work. On the first day we visited Memphis, Sakkara, Giza pyramids, and the Great Sphinx. It was full of tourists (of course it is its a great wonder) , but I never felt rushed or like I was missing out on any important information. At the pyramid, she helped me negotiate prices for camel rides and a headscarf. For lunch, we stopped at a buffet that she had pre-packed with a wonderful view of the pyramids.Day 2 was when we visited the Egyptian Museum where she went above and beyond, explaining all of the artifacts, in great detail . Then we visited Mosoue of Muhammad Ali it was a beautiful stop that you won't want to miss. Very instagram worthy. At every location Rasha was always ready to help take pictures and knew of all the best spots to get the perfect shot. Next, Old Cairo and the Khan El Khalili bazaar were a little crowded due to it being Friday, which is when everyone has the day off. The last stop was a ride down the Nile in a felucca, the views were amazing!!
We ended our day at a kosher restaurant, which was delicious. Rasha yehia Mubarak was very accommodating to all my needs and I felt safe with her. I will be recommending her to all my friends back home who are anxiously waiting to hear about my trip to Egypt.
