Private Tour Giza Pyramids inside, Sphinx, Memphis & Saqqara

If you want to dig a little deeper into Egyptian culture and history take this tour with the qualified tour guide Mina. We started with Saqqara, the step Pyramid, the world's oldest one and the fascinating Pyramid of Teti where inside I saw the famous geroglific texts. The tour then continued towards the ancient city of Memphis and finally to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx where I had the opportunity for a camel ride with many photos stops. The second day we visited Downtown Cairo and The Egyptian Museum with Tutankhamon enormous trove of treasures, Citadel & Mohamed Ali Mosque and in the late afternoon took a fantastic river dinner cruise with traditional Egyptian music, watching Egyptian Belly dancing show & Tanoura traditional show. Thanks to the professionality of the guide Mina in explaining in details history events and facts and answering to all my questions about Egyptian culture. Egypt you will see me again in the future!

Normally I would first rate the actual tour, but this was a situation where I think credit needs to first go to — Our Guide ,Hamad Ibrahim , was on time and patiently worked out our desired itinerary. His English was precise and relaxed, and fluent enough to always be clear. //We found out that Russian is his strongest idiom. He told us that he didn’t speak very much Spanish, I encourage him to try and he did part of the tour in Spanish. I was amazed by this alone./// it was the 10th anniversary vacation for us and we were exhausted and maybe not in the best condition to receive all of the information about what we were seeing . I mentioned this to Hamad and he was not at all bothered , he would graciously ask us if we wanted to know more about whatever he was showing us. Also, there was a crunch in time to get to the tunnel to see the sarcophagus in the great Pyramid, he led the way as we passed many buses to get to the entrance in plenty of time without waiting at all. I sure am glad that some Russian tour did not need him that day., I actually watched the equivalent of the tour we were to go on several times during the months leading up to the vacation. , // advice:- you’re going to want a selfie stick. //if you want to go see that sarcophagus, you need to be able to do some serious stairs. .. shoes matter . Hat straps Sunglasses only regrets are not having nearly enough time to see more than a small part of Egypt, ..and not having the attention span to be able to ask the guide to let it rip and tell me all of their favorite parts of their studies of Ancient Times! Also forgot to mention the assistance we were provided in changing money and very good food at wonderful places. PS Personally I asked that my guide “be himself” and tend to any calls he might get etc.(the other guides I had did receive business calls . Regardless he didn’t take any call over a minute or two (during the car ride) and I got the benefit of his appreciation, which is something you can’t buy. And though not a substitute for a decent tip , a palpable nicety to offer. PSS Coming from the USA I had been warned about dangers of Egypt, I felt safe everywhere , it is not difficult to avoid being bothered by street merchants and such. Don’t look at people and they leave you alone. On this tour, there are few merchants , and they are very passive. They take no for an answer quickly
