We arrived in Cairo and where met by our tour manager Waleed met us at the airport and brought us to our hotel for the night. He checked us into the airport hotel, Le Passage, and went over our plans for the week. He was a great manager who took care of us on arrival and departure. We could always reach him on his What’s App, and he would reply in a timely manner.
He met us the next morning to help us catch our flight to Aswan to board our River Boat. We were met by another Memphis Toiur rep, who took us to our ship, the Salacia ( nice Art Deco themed boat).Once on the Salacia, we had a local tour guide, Ahmed Friday. Ahmed was very attentive to the needs of our group of 7. He was knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history of all the attractions we visited while on the cruise. It was also comforting to know he sailed with us on the ship.
