My husband, teen daughter and I had a fabulous tour with Ali. We flew in early from Hurghada and Ali was waiting for us. His knowledge and passion for Egyptian history was remarkable. To avoid the crowds, we began the day at the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Ali provided valuable information but was patient allowing you to take your time to enjoy the sites and snap some selfies. He was attentive to our requests, I was wanting to purchase some Egyptian goodies, to include a cartouché. Knowing that it can take some time to personalize, we stopped at a store, purchased what we intended and the company said they’d deliver it to us later in the day. We also stopped at a papyrus shop and learned the history of it with a demonstration on how it’s made along w a chance to shop. Prices are negotiable- don’t pay full price. A quick stop at a roadside bistro allowed us to taste some Egyptian quick-eats- can you say falafel and shawarma? Yum! From there we ventured to the Pyramids of Giza - AMAZING! The history, the size...the beauty- Ali made sure we went to the best picture spots. Here, we could opt for a camel ride- we chose to just get on the camels for a quick 30 seconds- husbands request. Then, we went to a fantastic lunch with picturesque views of the pyramids. Afterwards, we stopped at an oils/essences shop, although they weren’t pushy we weren’t a fan of them putting several oils directly on our skin- so headache inducing and the only thing we didn’t purchase from the places Ali took us. From there we had some time before our evening flight but we were told Cairo traffic is horrible- we knew it had been a long day for all of us including Ali and Muhammad, our driver so we opted to go straight to the airport for our flight back to Hurghada. All in all, it was a fantastic, history-filled, memorable experience. The only we’d change is maybe opting to go to the souks instead of the oils/essence perfumery and enjoy some leisurely shopping. Would definitely use Wonders of Egypt again!
