My wife and I spent a week in Cairo and choose to take a day trip to Alexandria. We were picked up from our hotel by our tour guide who was already waiting for us at the hotel lobby, with such great energy and a positive attitude. This set the tempo for the road trip ahead of us. When we arrived in Alexandria, we were wow’d by dreaming along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. What made it more amazing was having sea side lunch along the coast at such a delicious Mediterranean restaurant. The food was fresh and simply delicious. We then took our van to a Roman theatre, which we didn’t even know existed in Egypt. Our tour guide was not only knowledgeable in every aspect of Egypt but an amazing photographer as well. We continued on to see the catacombs of Alexandria, a castle, and finished off with a stop to take a boat ride in the sea to see the location of what was the light tower, now a castle. At that stop was a local bizarre where you could buy some really amazing and authentic souvenirs to bring back home. Hands down one of the best experiences of our lives! We would definitely book with Egyptviatravel again!
