Private Day Tour to Salah El Din Citadel - Old Cairo

Khaled Ali was a extremely polite and knowledgeable tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and he made you feel as though you were being taught something different than you already knew. He is professional in every way - with a great sense of humor - and he goes out of his way to make sure you have a wonderful time. Highly recommended!!

This was our private tour, we booked it 9 months before we depart from the US. It was pre- paid too ( $60.00 USD per person). We visited: 1) Citadel of Saladin: ticket 140 EGP per person 2) Alabaster Mosque : 80 EGP per person 3) Cave Church : Free of charge 4) Al Azhar Park : we ended up had to paid for our Private Tour Guide and the Driver Ticket Fees( 60 EGP total and Parking Fee (10 EGP) 5) Lunch was included (Food was so so) 6) Felucca Ride ( 100 EGP total captain Tip) 7) Khan al-Khalili Bazaar :entrance Fee incl We tip Tour guide: 220 EGP Driver : 70 EGP, we were so lucky , our driver is also a photographer, he even took some good our photos of his professional camera and send it to us by email after we went back to USA. ** We didn't expected to happened this matter, when we get dropped off to the hotel, we found out our reservation got canceled without notice.....since we were two female travelling in Egypt, without knowing their language....I was expecting our Tour guide would stayed and helped us(I am also in service business in US, that's why I was automatically expecting people will help us, especially will help female),but unfortunately, no luck of it. With LIMITED helped of the booking.com , we got pushed to a dirty, smelly hostel. I even had to asked the hostel gave me extra paper towels, so I can clean it up myself. IT WAS AWFUL EXPERIENCE, A NIGHTMARE TO US, ROOM WAS COLD, DIRTY....END UP MY DAUGHTER GOT SICK ON THE MIDNIGHT. NOTE: WE ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED WHOEVER CONE TO VISIT EGYPT, DO NOT CHOOSE THE " TAHIR SQUARE HOSTEL"(mean ,rude, scored, treated female as 3rd class citizens, canceled booking without notice).
