    Explore 3,000 years of Ancient Egyptian history at the Egyptian Museum. The collection totals over 120,000 artifacts covering all periods of Ancient Egypt. The highlights include the treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, including his gold mask and nested coffins. Other highlights are Khafre Enthroned (Chepren Enthroned), the treasures of Yuya and Thuyu from KV46, the treasure of Psusennes (The Silver Pharaoh), the colossus of Amenhotep the Great and Queen Tiye, and 12th dynasty jewelry discovered by Jacques de Morgan at the end of the 19th and early 20th century.

Future Egypt travelers, please, HEAR ME WHEN I SAY!!! My recent trip to Egypt, with a group of 25 travelers has climbed to the top of my life experiences. Egypt, stand alone, is an extraordinary country, with its awesome sites, rich history, culture, and foods. Add to this, the magnificent tour guide, historian, philosopher, “Sam”, and this trip moves to a completely different level. Sam was able to share the history with facts and whimsy. He addressed all our questions, earnestly, honestly, and completely. We learned, we laughed, we explored spaces new and old. We navigated crowds strategically, maximizing these experiences. With 25 travelers, frequently we found we all had slightly different priorities and agendas. Sam made this journey uniquely wonderful and complete for each of us traveling. My final assessment is…. Egypt with Sam the Egyptologist was Outstanding: I would highly recommend taking a tour of Egypt with Sam. You will not regret it. I can’t wait to do this again. clrichardson

Sam is an amazing guide and person! He expertly managed a group of 25 with patience and compassion from Cairo to Aswan. 1. He was the consummate tour guide. Informed, detailed, and passionate. 2. He was kind, attentive, patient, and concerned about our health and well-being. 3. He was accommodating and made sure each of us got what we wanted and needed from this once in a lifetime trip. 4. He was a problem solver which allowed us to enjoy every minute stress-free. Sam has a place in our hearts collectively and individually. Sam was our tour guide. He is amazing! His depth of knowledge about Egypt is vast and deep. Everyday he greeted us with a huge smile. He’s a problem solver… any issue that our group of 27 brought to him was resolved quickly. I’ve traveled a lot and Sam is the best tour guide that I’ve ever had!!!!
