Bda. Estación del Chorro, 5D, 29552 El Chorro, Málaga, Spain It's a linear route. The hiking route finishes at the parking area of Caminito del Rey located in "El Chorro" district in Alora village. From that point participants must keep walking straight (10 minutes) for reaching the bus stop (it costs about 1.5€ per person) and go back to the starting point.

    You will start hiking by “Kiosko” restaurant located near the entrance of the Caminito del Rey.

    After a while the gate of Caminito del Rey will be reached. The guide will explain you the relevance of this area in the Spanish contemporary history due tu different components: the electric power house, the railway, the recevoir, etc.

    Later continue the walkway passing by “Gaitanejos” cliffs, the “Hoyo” valley, “Gaitanes” cliffs , Ribera bridge & finally by the hanging bridge.

    The guided tour will finish at the parking area located in "El Chorro" district. From this point after 10 minutes walking straight, you will find the bus stop to go back the starting point

If that happens, we will propose you to do something different in the nearby, come back the following day or partially or total refund (Total refund if the cancellation is up to one day before the tour date or partial refund if Caminito del Rey Board decides to close the walkway on the tour date).
  • Security protocol to prevent COVID-19: IT IS MANDATORY TO USE THE MASK TO ACCESS TO THE ACTIVITY.
  • Always follow the instructions of both the organization's staff/ tour guide and the information indicated on the signs or posters.
  • SAFETY DISTANCE: In static, the distance between people will be 2 meters between people or family groups; In motion, the recommended distance will be 5 meters between people or family groups.

Our guide Omar was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and informative . The trip is something I have wanted to do for a very long time so I am pleased to finally have done it . The scenery was amazing breathtaking .

My partner and I found a private tour the optimal way to hike Caminito del Rey. Yes, it’s more expensive that a large group or unguided tour but it was so worth the extra cost. No waiting in long lines. No being at the mercy of a large group’s potentially slow pace. And no struggling to hear commentary from the back of the pack. This allowed us to listen and ask questions while on the move and hike at a brisker pace. Rachel was an encyclopedia of knowledge and wove us through large groups of stationary hikers like we were VIP’s. We are not ones to stand and listen for long periods of time so we got to set our preferred speed. Kudos to Rachel for a great morning. The train from Málaga Maria Zambrano to El Chorro and back was a breeze and we had plenty of time to enjoy a wonderful lunch at La Garganta while waiting for our train back to the city.

I had a private tour guide and her name is Olga. She was excellent and was extremely informative. The walk is amazing in itself but Olga was very knowledgeable on all kinds of aspects, eg, tress, mountain formations etc. which gave me a great experience. I highly recommend Olga as a tour guide!
