I was blown away by our tour of Chichen Itza. Chris (our tour guide) went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. He catered the tour to our interests and taught us about things we had questions about. We left feeling a great desire to learn more about the ancient Mayan people. We discussed the possibility of going to a site like this without a tour guide and we would have been lost without Almatours! Thank you for everything. I highly recommend going to this site with an Almatours tour guide!

Excellent experience! Our guide Luis taught us so much about Mayan culture and religion and the similarities with our own beliefs. I would absolutely recommend this tour for LDS families traveling in the area. I'd like to come back and do the multi-day tours! Also, this area of Mexico is very hot and the centote swim was exactly what we needed after the tour.

Louis picked us up at our hotel and drove us to Chichen Itza. He was very friendly and helpful telling us what to expect and things we needed and didn't need to bring. He had a cooler filled with waters and some other drinks. The ride in the van was comfortable and cool. We had worried that it might be hot but the AC worked rally good and we were very comfortable. We saw Chichen Itza and Louis gave us a very good tour explaining the history with pictures as he showed us around and each area he also explained to us the connection to the Book of Mormon and to Jesus Christ. He gave us time to think and talk a little about what thoughts we had relating these things to the gospel. He then took us to the shopping market outside but we wished we would have spent some time inside shopping because we didn't see some of the items outside that were being sold inside. He took us to lunch after Chichen Itza and it was a very good buffet. He explained everything to us so we didn't have to guess on what was going on. He took very good care of us. He then took us to the Cenote and left us there for an hour to swim in the Cenote. That was a nice break from the heat. We had a great experience with Alma LDS Tours and with Louis. I would highly recommend this travel guide. It was more expensive than the tour excursion that the Hotel offered but it was very personable and quiet since it was just our group of 4 and that was worth the extra money.
