I'm sure the company that took us on the first day to Tulum was not the same for the second day. The Tulum trip was shortened and they did not take us to the archeological site in Coba as apparently its closed instead they took to some huts which represented Mayan village apparently. Anyway, the first day no breakfast was provided (we had paid as part of the package paid thru viator) and we were taken into a big bus and the tour guide was speaking more in spanish than English so felt a bit lost. The quality of service was not great with the first day tour. The lunch place we went was okie place but by the time we had lunch it was 2 PM and we had started the day very early in the morning without even having had coffee thinking these guys will provide us with breakfast. anyway when i asked them they said they do not give breakfast. It looks like though we book thru viator, the booking gets split to multiple suppliers of the tours and thats its not a standard package that is followed as i saw them selling additional package for additional money for free drinks et all. Anyway all in all i will not recommend the first day of trip to anyone.
The second day of the tour was managed by Cancun Bay tours and they were really good though i issue was it was small van but they separated vans based on English speaking vs Spanish speaking and managed the tour extremely well. They got us a breakfast pack as well as was part of package. The guide was extremely good and was providing lot of history behind the Chichen itza and the temples and structures around it. He made the trip interesting. The lunch place, the mayan shopping center were good.
