This place offers a truly unique experience in a quiet, calm, and relaxing atmosphere. Roughly 33 min drive from Cancún airport, and 15 min west of Puerto Morelos along the Ruta de Cenotes (Natural Springs Highway), well off the beaten path and away from the loud crowds, in the Yucatan jungle. Rooms were exceptionally clean and affordable. Place opened in September 2022, so not many folks know about it, and with only 8 bubbles, maximum capacity is 16 guests (adults only), but there were only 2 other couples present during our stay, which made it very peaceful and intimate. My wife and I wanted to get away from our very busy lives in Dallas for a 3-day weekend, and Cancún was a super easy flight using airline miles, and navigating to the hotel was surprisingly easy, although likely daunting for folks who don’t travel as much. Staff are exceptionally accommodating and friendly, offering service when necessary but giving us plenty of privacy. There is one natural well (Cenote) on property, and this crystal clear well-water us constantly being pumped through a large pool on their “beach” and also through private tubs outside each bubble, thus no chlorine or treatment. Same well water is used for faucets, etc. Although guests can come and go as they please, having Cancún, Puerto Morelos, and Playa Del Carmen/Cozumel all within a 45-min drive, I would recommend staying on the property and just enjoying the peaceful, relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to visit this place again for another weekend getaway.
There was a lot of miscommunication between the resort and what was being offered through viator. For what I paid for the night everything should have been included besides the drinks (alcoholic beverages). I still ended up having to pay for dinner. I brought it to their attention that it was supposed to be included. I even showed them, but they still insisted that the only thing that was included was breakfast. The next morning my boyfriend went to get orange juice and they said we would have to pay if we wanted another juice since they only provided one free drink. they even tried to charge me again for the massages the next morning during check out (included within the price). I had to call customer service and she had to call the owner. It was a big mess. The hot tub out front made a lot of noise from the bubbles but never got hot. The hot water only stayed hot for a few minutes and then the rest of the time it was very cold. Lastly, they had a cat that was roaming around the restaurant area. My boyfriend is allergic to cats and I let them know that but the next morning the cat was still roaming around and it even jumped in one of the other customers lap.
The food was amazing and the grounds were beautiful. It was a very cool experience but I wouldn’t stay there again or advise anyone else too.
This was such a unique, fantastic experience. We decided to spend the last night of our trip closer to the airport since we had an early flight.
Sooooo glad we found Oom!
We only stayed one night, but those are the first pictures I show everyone from our trip!
From the moment you walk through the gate (don't let the dirt access road deter you) you are treated to this little slice of paradise in the jungle. Right away you see the cool little cenote, the hammock between palm trees, and the lovely, open "lodge" above. Spa vibes
As soon as we checked in, Mena brought us these wonderful drinks (made from different berries) in Tiki mugs. They were delicious.
Then we walked through to the cenote-fed pool area, and on to our bubble!
The first question we get asked- Yes! It is very private! You're separated from the other bubbles and the road by walls and wood fences cleverly blending in with the foliage. You can't see anywhere outside of your little camp, which includes your own little personal cenote pool outside the.bubble!
There's a 2 door airlock entrance so you don't deflate the bubble, and there's a telescope ready for you to use at night- so cool. The bubble room was so clean you could eat off the floor.
It's such a new experience, you feel like a little kid in there when you look around. We were actually giddy. The AC kept a pleasant temp despite the sun, and although it's small you can't possibly feel claustrophobic! The sheets, the.pillows, the bed! It was so incredibly comfortable we never wanted to leave it. Also, great WiFi.
2 things to be aware of- The bathroom area is spotless and does its job well, but is not very private, which may be awkward for some. We're married a while so, nothing we haven't heard before, lol. Also, certain spots in the bubble will echo and vary in volume due to the acoustics, which can be weird. For us, though, it was like a cool science experiment.
We went up to the lodge for tasty Mojitos and what was a very special dinner.
Jimena took really good care of us, answered all of our questions about Oom and the menu, then served us the best food! Although the menu offered meals that were pretty gourmet, they accommodated my husband's plain tastes with some mashed potatoes and corn to go with his steak- which he LOVED. I enjoyed the best coconut shrimp I've ever had in my life, and tasty chocolate cheesecake.
So overall, an unforgettable, magical visit!
