Tulum Ruins and Playa del Carmen Sunset Private Tour

Jesus was our guide in the van to Tulum. He was friendly and informative and was very attentive. He was very proud of his heritage. My daughter and I went together.

We bought the tours Tulum + PDC sunset thought Viator. In terms of price there are very similar tours with 1 more stop to Cenote or Coba. At the end with pick this one as starts after lunch, so you can enjoy the morning in another activity or wake up late. The activity included 1. Tulum: 1:30 minutes 45 with guide and 45 by your Own. The 45 minutes with the guide (not the same person that pick us up, is arranged to meet him on tulum) were enough and the person share good information about the Mayan culture and ruins. The other free 45 min definitely are not enough, the issue is that just going out from the ruins and to the meeting point will take you like 20 minutes, there is a big road that the cars can not get in, and the are no train at that time. So you will be on a rush. 2.Playa del Carmen 2 hours: On the PCD there Is an optional tequila testing, which basically is a store that give you a few tequila shots, but there is not like tequila history or tour. The rest of the time is a free time. At the time that you are there will be around 6 pm, so you are going to spend some time looking for food. So the time there is quite limited and we were not able to check out the fifth avenue or the dock properly, especially if you go to a restaurant and wait for the food. Kudos The Service of Jesus and Armando was very friendly so that improved the experience of the tour. They gave a few of Beers between all, cold blankets, extra water, which they were not included. Cons - So the Cons I would say is the limited time spend on each attraction. The logistic should include more time on PDC, and improve the first hours of pick up so we can arrive earlier to Tulum. - On Cancun is very common that all tours ask for the TIP, however the case in here is that even the tulum guide hired by the company also requested the tips inside the park after his 45 minutes, And he made a trick to switch the ruins tickets with a other one with an old date as souvenir, Im assuming that is to reuse the ticket or something. So that part was not professional. - There is not Toll free outside Mexico, so getting into contact with the company to confirm is quite difficult, even on Mexico the phone provided was not available.
