Your professionally guided hiking adventure will begin at at a convenient location where we will review our plan for the day and sign the liability waiver. From there, we will drive approximately 1 hour to the trailhead. We will set off on our adventure at a comfortable/relaxed pace, hike for a 1-2 hours, with breaks for water or a snack and then stop for lunch at a meadow full of beautiful wildflowers, a mountain ridge with an awe-inspiring view, or at a majestic alpine lake. On this trip, there will be plenty of time to relax, take photos and explore the area. As a certified interpretive guide, I will teach you about the natural and cultural history of the area, as well as the local flora and fauna. When we are ready, we will make our way back to the trailhead and then back to where we started. The trail will range from between 5 - 10 km (3 - 6 miles) with an approximate elevation gain of 300 - 500 meters (1000 - 1600 feet). This unique adventure will leave you wanting more.

  • The Alpine Experience requires that all guests are to read, understand and sign the Liability Waiver prior to commencing any trips. The waiver requires personal, emergency and medical contact information. Waivers will be signed and witnessed in person by one of our guides. It is imperative that you disclose any medical condition(s) that could put your safety or the safety of the guide or others at risk.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

I 100% recommend a snowshoeing adventure with Pete. He was fantastic super easy to talk to and such a great guide through the snow. He was incredibly understanding of our slower pace and never got frustrated when we fell through the snow and had to be dug out, he told us the snow was a little softer this time of year, so don't think that will happen to you! But if it does don't worry, Pete will give you a hand. As a first time snowshoer I had a great time and will definitely go back.

Peter took our family through the forest and valley of Banff National Park in late December. We had an awesome time chatting with him through the hike and seeing the snow-covered park. We ended up hiking for ~6 miles with a break at the half-way point. Certainly tiring, but a great workout. I would highly recommend Peter if you're looking to try snowshoeing! Perfect location and felt very comfortable and safe throughout. Thanks so much!

Had a great trip! Our guide Peter, was awesome! He was mindful of everyone's abilities, or lack there of, and paced the trip accordingly. Peter also took the time to make sure everyone in our group was prepared for the trip before we headed out. As for the trip itself, wow! Rockies are beautiful and wonderful experience. Would highly recommend the trip & Peter
