Explore the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park on a half-day 4-wheel drive (4WD) tour. Your experienced guide negotiates steep switchbacks and rugged tracks along the White Rim Road to take you to stunning vistas such as Gooseneck Overlook. See sites with remnants of ancient Pueblo civilizations, canyons that drop 1,000 feet (300 meters) straight down, and parts of the Colorado River. Our guide Brice was outstanding! He made us all feel comfortable, shared his depth of knowledge with us, told great stories and ensured we had the experience of a lifetime! The views and scenery were other worldly, definitely an experience my family and I will never forget and I HIGHLY recommend taking this excursion if you ever find yourself in Moab!

I took a trip with my healthy 79 year-old mom to Denver and Moab in July 2023. I found it difficult to find a way to tour Canyonlands as it is not as accessible as Arches. We booked the Islands in the Sky Canyonlands Half Day Tour in the morning time slot after talking to an employee on the phone with questions and concerns-very helpful! Our guide was Dalton and he was safe, knowledgeable, and passionate about Canyonlands geology and the fragile desert ecosystem. He provided snacks and ice water and encouraged healthy drinking of water. It was a bumpy ride in spots and very close to the edge-as you would expect in a 4 X 4 tour. There were opportunities to take short guided walks or just stay near the vehicle and several stops had bathroom options. The only other vehicles we saw on our tour were other Navtec groups. There were only four passengers on our tour and it felt like a very unique and personal experience that we couldn't have had any other way! We highly recommend this tour and feel so lucky to have had Dalton as our guide! Loved it and came away with valuable insights into the high desert and the creatures that live there.
