We purchased a 5-day CT city pass, with the HOHO bus. This was really worth the purchase for sightseeing, as lwell as our first trip to Capetown! It included top attractions like Table Mountain, a sunset champagne cruise, and plenty of boat cruises around the harbor and Seal Island to name a few. The one pass allows you to have fun, thrilling, romantic (all in one) experiences! Bonus with the pass are food and drink "vouchers" that you could use, This was really beneficial and the food options are delicious meals! We also did a few wine, gin, and beer tastings along with the thrilling Sky Hi ride! With the 5 days pass we had, we basically did over 30 activities from this package and saved over R2000 per person!
Along with the good, there has to be some bad, but not really all that bad, depending on your preference and what you would like to do, The HOHO bus can take some time getting you around, especially if you have made bookings and appointments. We actually only used the bus on one day to get to Hout Bay and back. It was easier and quicker and more convenient for us to drive around or Uber as some of the places that come with the package aren't exactly on the bus routes.
Also, we picked up that some places on the package aren't always opened, or the address info provided isn't updated with the "city pass" which made it a bit difficult to find or access certain places, with so many other things to do, it really isn't that much of an issue.
From our experience, purchasing this 5-day pass has allowed us to see so much and visit so many different areas in Capetown, allowed us to try new cuisine, and different bars, and experience so many other new things that we haven't done anywhere else in the country without breaking the bank!
If your budget allows, try out the premium experience, Im sure it will be worth it, I'm definitely doing it once I am back in Capetown!
