Our guide, Mehmet and the driver were absolutely professional, lovely, funny, patient and thorough with the various historical stories. It was a lot of climbing (Selime Cathedral) and walking (Ilhara valley) but the views were absolutely worth it. I definitely recommend you try them out!

We spent two wonderful days on the Red and Green tours with Mehmet. He was very knowledgeable, very friendly and clearly loved his job. We were a group of eight 67 year old ladies with different fitness levels and he accommodated us all extremely well. The driver Mehmet was excellent too and we felt very safe with him. The underground city at Derinkuyu was amazing and it was followed by a very pleasant short hike through the lush Ilhara valley. After a lovely lunch, we went to see the fascinating Selime monastery and then drove back to our hotel in Goreme via a brief stop at Nar lake. We chose to omit the Onyx factory and there was no pressure from Mehmet to visit it. All in all, a packed but thoroughly enjoyable day. I would definitely recommend Mehmet to my friends and family.
