The Volcanic Experience excursion was truly top tier. The itinerary included visits to a local museum, the Pink Sea, and the Totumo Volcano. Our guides were professional, welcoming, and highly knowledgeable, providing meaningful insights that elevated the experience. The volcanic mud was exactly as described—smooth, buoyant, and infused with healing properties. After rinsing in the lagoon, my skin felt refreshed and silky. One important note for future travelers: individuals not affiliated with the tour may approach you offering services such as taking photos or assisting in the lagoon. These services are not included in the package, and those offering them will expect compensation, often quite persistently. Overall, this was a rare and unforgettable excursion that I would recommend to anyone seeking both adventure and cultural enrichment.

Very informal. Juliana went above and beyond. She was a great host. I would recommend the tour to others. At the mub bath, we had our own changing room, lockers and showers.

This experience was pretty cool! Be advised that you will have a choice to not get your face submerged in the mud. You will have to use your own strength to get out of the mud so be mindful of that when you purchase! There will be women at the river to help rinse you off for some tips! The weather is hot in April so wear sunscreen on your face. Also, the ladder that is used to get into the volcano is very sketchy!
