I recently enrolled my 12-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son in a scuba diving course with Buzos de Baru, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, our experience with this diving center in Cartagena was nothing short of fantastic. First and foremost, I have to commend our instructor Santiago. He went above and beyond to make sure our kids felt comfortable and confident throughout the course. His ability to communicate clearly, combined with his friendly and approachable nature, made the learning process enjoyable and engaging. He truly had a knack for keeping everyone's attention while injecting humor into the lessons, which made it even more memorable for our kids. The course itself was comprehensive and well-structured. Our children learned the necessary theory and practical skills in a safe and controlled environment. The instructor Santiago was incredibly patient, taking the time to explain and demonstrate each technique, ensuring that our kids grasped the concepts fully before moving on. It was evident that safety was a top priority, and we felt reassured knowing that our children were in capable hands. The highlight of our scuba diving experience with Buzos de Baru was undoubtedly the two days of boat dives in Cartagena. The diving spots selected were breathtaking, offering a diverse array of marine life and sunken ships. The staff was efficient in organizing the logistics and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. The equipment provided was well-maintained and of high quality, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend Buzos de Baru for anyone looking to introduce their children to scuba diving or even for experienced divers seeking an exceptional diving experience. I would definitely recommend Buzos de Baru to anyone looking to get certified or to dive with while in Cartagena. Having read all the wonderful reviews, I bought my husband Buzos de Baru’s open diver course for his 40th birthday. Juan was amazing to liaise with. He got back to me quickly, was super professional, and he put together our itineraries flawlessly. My husband was able to complete his coursework from home in the States so that when we arrived in Cartagena, he got straight into the diving. His instructor, Alvaro, did an amazing job of teaching him all the fundamentals. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Alvaro made my husband very comfortable and safe during the dives. Now my husband is addicted to diving. I also joined a group of divers later in the week with dive master Santiago. Santiago did a great job of assessing each diver’s level and knowing how to make everyone safe while ensuring they had a great time.
