The tour was an incredible look into Spanish olive oil production and specifically what it takes to grow olives organically while promoting biodiversity. Laura, our tour guide, is a farmer but also a biologist. She was a delight. The tasting was fun for the 4 of us - including 2 teenagers - as was the bread, manchego, fresh tomato and wine.
In terms of the ease of the tour, there was not a lot of walking. We were out in the orchard the whole time but were in the shade for almost the whole time. One thing to note is that there is no bathroom on the site. They are planning on putting one in.
Really this was well worth the time, the drive and the cost of the tickets. We all loved it…and again we were with two teenagers, so that is saying something!
