We booked this tour when we were at Sandals Halcyon. We were driven to the boat and once onboard with other guests we waited for our tour to begin. After about 30 minutes we were told the boat had engine trouble and the captain was trying to determine if it could be repaired. Very shortly after it was announced that the trip was cancelled since the engine did indeed have issues. If the crew had gotten there earlier they could have saved themselves trouble by letting the guests know ahead of time (or repairing it ahead of time). Once back at the hotel another guest told us a similar story that they too had tried to take this same tour only to have this same boat have engine issues. They told us at Halcyon Beach we would get a refund so hopefully we will since it was a little pricey! I would not recommend this tour as this catamaran was showing a lot of age.

So I will start with the good points Did this activity with my wife and teenage kids Transfer from hotel not great 30 minute journey took 3 times that due to collecting from various other resorts, old vehicle with no aircon! Boat nice and staff friendly great scenery and some good information on route to the piton mountains. Snorkelling was ok, 30 minutes not very clear water and equipment not the best. Also you go in directly off the boat so if not overly confident in deep water not great although life vests mandatory! This makes snorkelling problematic though! Food was ok and plenty of drink, alcoholic and soft drinks, water available. Journey back to Castries at a relaxed pace with sun setting on route! Return journey to hotel hot and crowded on old vehicles with no aircon! Real negative for me was the music on board, the crew pandered to the large group on board and played loud and obnoxious music the entire journey. It basically turned into a booze cruise which I would have booked if I had wanted this type of cruise! Based on our experience I wouldn’t recommend it but think we were probably just unlucky! Take the music away and we would have had a great day out!

This excursion was amazing! We got to see a lot of St Lucia’s coast, the snorkeling was beautiful, the sunset was breathtaking, and the crew was so much fun!! I’d highly recommend this trip!!!
