It is an authentic landscape, historical and oenological discovery. The PRIORAT produces unique wines in the world. With the tasting you will discover it. The Sierra del MONTSANT or the Priorat mountain, with a must-see visit to the thousand-year-old monastery of ESCALA DEI, is simply spectacular. To contemplate these landscapes we went up to SIURANA, a pictorial and medieval town. Do not miss this experience if you come to Tarragona and the Costa Dorada.

    Let's start with SIURANA, which is undoubtedly one of the wonders of Catalonia. You will discover a fairytale town that evokes memories of movies about castles under siege. Perched on cliffs 400m above the swamp you can see a charming village with cobbled houses and streets and the remains of the Saracen fortress. The views are splendid and unique over the Sierra de Montsant (where we will go next).

  • Cartoixa de Scala Dei, Escaladei, Spain
    The Charterhouse of Scala Dei The monumental complex of La Cartuja is located in one of the most important natural areas of the Sierra de Montsant Natural Park. To learn about the way of life of the Carthusians and the transformations they introduced into the landscape, we will visit the charterhouse, a cell of a Carthusian father and, if time permits, a walk around the enclosure to get to know the surroundings. We are at the foot of the MONTSANT CLIFFS that captivate us with their majesty.

  • Cellers de Scala Dei, Escaladei, Spain
    Following this walk, we will visit its Winery. This guided tour has it all: from an explanation of the history of Priorat and its wines, a visit to the winery with more than 4 centuries of history and a tasting of four great red wines with the Priorat quality denomination.

Great time. Amazing views. Back to the middle ages and excellent wines. We book the tour with Marc and he introduce us from the first mile on the road to the Priorat about de history of what we are going to visit.
