Take off on a time-traveling journey through the Boyne Valley in Ireland, where mysterious vistas and a rich past await you. First up is the Hill of Tara, home of Ireland's High Kings, which has a rich historical background and stunning panoramas that include the fabled Coronation Stone. Proceed to Trim Castle, Ireland's largest Anglo-Norman castle, where its imposing walls and lush grounds bring mediaeval tales to life. Following that, we go to Loughcrew, the location of Neolithic passage tombs with complete rock art covering the inside walls that date back more than 5,000 years. After our visit, we will eat lunch at a restaurant. The trip ends at Fore Abbey, the serene remains of a monastery Saint Fechin built in the seventh century that invite reflection amid the resiliency of history. With stops at both holy hills and monastic ruins, this journey allows you to immerse yourself in the spirit of Celtic heritage and experience a piece of Ireland's rich history at every turn.

You will learn about the background of this intriguing castle and the neighbourhood from your guide.

Driver/guide Jackie was personable and very informative. Guide answered all questions and made some recommendations. Pick up was at a location that was easy to find and the staff member was there on time to check us in and direct us to the bus. Bus was comfortable and clean. Views of the Boyne Valley were incredible.

We were able to see several of the Boyne Valley sites. The most impressive was the Loughcrew Cairns. A strenuous hike up to the top, but well worth the effort. Second on the list was the Hill of Tara. More from the historical record. Trim Castle and the village of Trim was also a highlight. The entire trip was well worth the time and money spent to go. Our tour leader, Jackie, was very informative.
