This tour will take you all over the valley and visit over 5 villages located near or around Central Antigua. We will visit places like a local traditional textile museum, Jade Factory, a chocolate factory, and visit the first cathedral built in Central America in the year 1534.  You will have many aerial views of the city, birds eye views of the volcanoes and a close encounter with local Mayan villagers that live around Antigua. You will drive through the cobblestone streets, paved roads, To finish the tour off, visit a local restaurant in the village of San Pedro El Panorama that serves guatemalan dishes.

    The meeting point for the tour is at our office, here we sign your contract, give you your helmet and explain the atv.

  • San Juan del Obispo, San Juan del Obispo, Guatemala
    We will stop at a local Chocolate Factory in this colorful little town at the foothills of the Agua Volcano, During this stop we will also visit a local wine shop which sells wines made out of a local fruit  named “Nispero.”

  • San Pedro Las Huertas, San Pedro Las Huertas, Guatemala
    Here we park by the Plaza and visit a local jade shop.  At the factory we are shown the processes it takes to turn raw Jade rocks and convert them into fine jewelry.  A small shop is located at the factory where we can see a selection of finished products such as “Nahuales” made into necklaces, bracelets, and even keychains.

    We park by the central plaza and are able to walk over and visit the first cathedral built in Central America in the year 1534.  After a small walk in the plaza we arrive at the local market and while we are there we are shown how to make tortillas like the locals.     The tour will take us to San Antonio Aguas Calientes, you get to see the textile museum and market. This stop has some of the best views of the Fuego and Acatenango Volcano due to its vicinity to this small artisan town.

    After Cerro de la Cruz we go back to Antigua and the tour will be over. The tour ends again at our office.

My wife, our 22-year-old son and me did the Antigua Villages Tour with Simoon Rentals & Tours guided by Darryl. We had wonderful time during the tour. The tour provided everything that it promised and the combination of beautiful & interesting attractions around Antigua with ATV rides was real fun and joy. Especially I want to appreciate the service during the tour when Darryl the guide and the logistics of the company behind him managed to address few challenges we faced and sort them out quickly in a way that saved the day for us and made us enjoy the experience despite them. Do this today! Our guide Eric was absolutely spectacular, we felt safe but also felt like we had a great adventure! We toured some amazing places and made a great friend. Cannot recommend enough!!!

We loved the opportunity to see villages and a glimpse of life outside of Antigua. Love that they included specific businesses to learn and buy from, like the jade factory and artisan chocolate factory. Our guide Anthony was so kind and informative.
