Lets meet one on one with the vibrant culture and tradition of local villages aboard our mini chicken bus, a colorful, shiny and iconic mode of transport in country where regular size is for 60 passengers ours has only 10 seats and will be use only for participants. These buses, known for their unique designs, are a symbol of local pride. Our Half Day offers a safe and comfortable journey from village to village, allowing us to immerse in local lifestyles. We aim to connect you with our communities, visiting family-owned workshops and projects that preserve traditions like artisanal chocolate, wine, and coffee making.     We will visit Chocolate Artisanal Workshop where five generations have worked hand-by-hand to make the wonderful chocolate that every single Guatemalan families prefer to drink hot and with a local sweet bread. We will discover the chocolate production process. We will also have a tasting of hot chocolate. Thereafter, we will continue to Museum of Loquat, San Juan del Obispo. It is famous for its production of giant loquats from which they produce fermented drink, jam, etc. The best part is the tasting we will participate in at the end!

  • San Pedro Las Huertas, Guatemala
    There is no other village as this one, tiny and named as Las Huertas due to the farming of orchards such as tomatoes, lettuce, beans, corn, etc. We will have time to take pictures of one of the most popular communal laundry area and the baroque Spanish Colonial church. You will get to experience what a pueblo life is like in Guatemala. Thru the main drag of the village you will also have the perfect view of two volcanoes - Fuego and Agua.

    The first capital of the Spanish Crown in our territory. We will drive-thru this village and you will get a good panoramic view of the city and the local life by visiting local family producers as our technical stop.
  • Valhalla Experimental Station, San Miguel Duenas, Guatemala
    This project will be of great interest to you. Valhalla is a family-run farm that is dedicated to supporting and helping local indigenous communities and promoting sustainable agriculture practices. We will showcase why Macadamia tress are good for sustainable development and its nutritional benefits. They also have a restaurant at the farm and they are known for darn good pancakes and fried pickles in macadamia flour.

We had a fantastic time. We learned so much from Michael about the local culture. We learned about the Cacao bean and chocolate making process, macadamia nuts, jade, loquat, and so much more.

Una excelente opción para conocer más sobre Antigua y sus alrededores. Se apoyan iniciativas comunitarias y familiares. El guía fue muy atento hacia todos y en especial a nuestro hijo de tres años que hizo el tour con nosotros.
