Located in the middle of the subtropical forest, in the Southeast area of Guatemala, this is one of the easiest-to-climb volcanoes in the country. It will only take us 1 hour and a half to get to its emerald-blueish lagoon in its crater. This short hike will give you a breathtaking scenic route to the top, and when you think it cannot get better... you will feel at peace with the nice humid forest weather of the crater lagoon. If you like swimming, immerse yourself in the ravishing and refreshing waters.

    The Ipala Volcano is one of the easiest volcanoes to climb in Guatemala, this one, in particular, has an exceptional beauty since after climbing it you will be amazed by the extraordinary charm of the lagoon in its crater. Climbing the volcano will take you a little more than an hour and it will all be worth it when you enjoy to the fullest in the fresh waters of its lake. Do not forget to bring your swimsuit and the best attitude to have an incredible time!

    After the nice warming hike up to the Ipala Volcano, we will drive to Cuilapa town to take the included lunch at a famous Guatemalan Restaurant.

El lugar es hermoso, la subida al cráter es corta y no es tan pesada y la laguna muy bonita. Los guías se portaron muy bien con nosotros, ayudándonos a tomar fotos y dándonos tiempo para que pudiéramos nadar en la laguna. Muy recomendado!

Wonderful time. My fiancé and I got to see real moving lava and roast marshmallows on it. Our guides were kind and spoke English well. I’d recommend this trip to anyone who wants an adventure!
