Not worth the money.
We were picked up by a bus that later I found out anyone could just pay to get on for very little money. We were dropped off later than anticipated so we were told there would be much time to do any activities except take a boat ride to the villages. We were told that our bus back is scheduled for 4pm so we really couldn’t see more than one village.
When we got to the village we went to see how fabric was made which was a great experience. Then we went to visit a bee honey making demonstration which felt rushed. There was nothing special about the demonstration and it lasted for a few minutes. It really seemed like they just wanted to get you to buy their products (which we did as we felt it’s important to help the local community).
Our guide was a very nice guy but here are the two issues we had, both of which have nothing to do with him, but more with the company who ill equipped him.
1. He kept taking photos and videos of us. Clearly for advertising purposes. But here’s a tip: maybe ask the travelers if they are comfortable with that.
2. No information was really provided about anything. No historical facts, no cultural significance of anything we saw whatsoever.
Every single thing we did you can do on your own and pay way less money for. $150 per person is extremely excessive for what we got.
Save your money and do on your own or go with a different company.
The disappointed traveler.
