    Experience the  most active volcano on this half-day trip to Pacaya Volcano from Antigua Guatemala  You’ll hike 8,000 feet above sea level with your expert  guide as you hike  the trails of the country’s most active volcano. Tour departs from most Antigua Guatemala hotels. Pick up time will be within 15 minutes of the established departure time in your confirmation.The 2.-3 hour hike to the top of Pacaya is easy enough for the novice trekker and still challenging enough to feel like a workout The environment of the trails is formed by humid surrounding volcanoes: agua, fuego and Acatenango.The volcano is readily accessible, therefore with our tour you don't need to be in good shape to climb it. Note: Minimum of 2 passengers (adults) is required for the tour to run. If the minimum size is not reached, the tour is subject to cancellation and all the tickets are refunded or rescheduled. it is recommended that you bring walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, and camera.
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Not recommended for child aged 3 and under
  • Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity
  • May be operated by a multi-lingual guide

Erwin did a great job getting us to the hike safely. He is very knowledgeable about the area and a joy to be around. The men that assisted us on the hike were incredible. We chose to ride horses and it was an absolutely fantastic experience.

We had such a wonderful time and the hike was so beautiful. Even the driver joined us for the hike which was nice. The only thing was the owner asked us for extra money and we were delayed because we had to gas money.

My friend and I decided to go with the Private Tour route as both of us were feeling out of shape and it was an amazing experience. The views were incredible. Our guide Jimmy was very friendly and accommodating. He was a local and had grown up in the area and his love for everything was evident. Only regret was that i got talked into taking the horse for the ride up. It is easily doable on foot unless you have any specific reason or issues. I would highly recommend this activity
