We had a very good day with Samir, our guide for the trek, and our driver whose name, unfortunately, I don't remember. Both of them were very friendly, helpful, and kind. We were sharing this adventure with a lovely family from Manchester and all the interaction between members of our group was pleasant and friendly. We stopped for photo opportunities on the way, and again for oil tasting at a women's cooperative, with tea, fresh local bread and the best peanut butter! The trek to the waterfall was not too difficult for two middle-aged ladies and Samir was there to help and lend a hand when needed. We had pleasant temperatures for walking and great views of the snow-capped Atlas mountains. Then a delicious lunch of home-cooked chicken tangine with tomato salad, and fresh fruit in the home of a local lady before leaving the mountainous area. Our driver took us to a desert area where we were served tea and assisted to don colorful head gear and tops. The men attending the camels helped us onto our animals and we took approximately 30 minutes to walk in a train on our camels, who appeared to be well-behaved and cared for. All in all, a memorable day with our very nice driver and guide, Samir!
