So i spent a while on a previous review for it not to save, but I must say that the trip was great.
Day 1: lots of travel. Fabulous Ait Be Haddou with excellent tour guide and film star Shafir(?). Then the beautiful Dades gorge. Accomodation wasn't great, but was fair for what we paid.
Day two: Todgha gorge (stunning), carpet maker (surprisingly cool), Erg Chebbi (Awe inspiring).
Then, there was the camel ride over the dunes to the tents. 1.25 hours of camel, stopping for the sunset (you may have to wait a while, but that isn't a chore), then into the camp. Know this; the camel ride was awesome, but NOT comfortable. I suggest you wear multiple pants if possible (maybe 10 pairs or so... you'll thank me for this later...).
The camp was great, the beds comfortable enough and the atmosphere around the camp fire with the music (more contemporary than expected, but good), was great.
Day 3: Up VERY early (5:30), for the return camel ride and stop for the sun's rise. What an experience. It was breathtaking. That said, i was glad to get off the camel.
We then went to our Riad - Riad Merzouga Dunes. It was lovely and the people very friendly. The food was also good.
We relaxed, then got quads for an hour. This was an incredible experience. Bombing around on the dunes of the Sahara, and going to the top of one of the highest was one of the best experiences I've ever had!
Day 4: It's a long way back; so prepare as you won't be sight seeing. Also, be careful what you eat in the places you stop on this day as two of my family ended up poorly - that was not a fault of this tour company though and i would 100% book this trip again, and no, i am not employed by them ;)
Finally, i would note that whilst we occasionally had to wait to be picked up, we were never forgotten, communication was always easy, and we were waiting in some of the most beautiful places I've ever been...
