    Challenging Assaouel Peak !! Our Driver will pick you up from where you stay in Marrakech , drive to the Atlas Mountain , enjoying the great views along the route to get to Imlil 1740m where you meet our qualified guide , have some welcoming mint tea before start the hike that goes along the berber villages and valley passing by Ait souka , Tamatert ,passing through the Forst of Tamatert to Tizi Tamatert pass 2278m, from where we head up to Assaouel Peak 2650m from where you will be able to enjoy the great view over the whole Toubkal National park villages and valley including Toubkal peak and basecamp views. Some lunch will be served here at the top , after that head down to Imlil ad back to Marrakech .

Don't let the other tourist traps deceive you if you're looking to hike! If you want to hike for 3-5 hours (with flexibility on how long and high you want to go), experience the views, lunch at the top of a beautiful peak with an experienced guide like Hassan, this is the place to be. You walk through the village of the guide where he tells you about Berber life. However, in contrast to most trips with many reviews here on tripadvisor and viator, on this trip there are no argan oil scams or tourist traps where you have to go through stops where they want to sell you stuff. Just you and the guide enjoying nature. If that's what you want, then this is the place to be!

The highlight of our time in Marrakesh! The excursion was fantastic. We arranged a private tour with Mohamed and requested a bespoke route, from Imlil to Chamarouch Shrine. The transfer from Marrakesh was punctual, comfortable, and very scenic. In Imlil village, we met with our mountain trekking guide, Hassan, who is a really nice guy. He brought us safely up the mountain path through beautiful scenery, orchards, villages, and mountain terrain. Hassan was very helpful, and provided lots of information about the Berber culture, traditions, and life in the villages of his region. We really enjoyed spending time with Hassan. This was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it. Journey by car from Marrakesh (Bab D'Agneau) to Imlil: 1hr 15. Trekking time: 2hrs on the assent. 40mins lunch provided by local guys, nearby Chamarouch village. 2hrs to hike back down to Imlil. Do try to fit this excursion into your Marrakesh trip. It is a great way to see the Atlas mountains without committing to a full 3-day mountaineering hike to the summit of Mount Toubkhal.
