We have only been in Morocco for a short period and had no time to visit the Sahara desert, so we thought the Agafay desert would be a nice option. And it was. It was a magical experience to have dinner at a beautiful, nicely decorated location. The food was delicious, sky was clear and there was fantastic live music. It was inspiring to hear the stories of real nomads and the story of how Ismail and his team set up the wonderful Al kamar camp. From next week on it is possible to stay for the night, and we would really like to come back for that!

What a fantastic evening. Great contact from our driver about time for pick up. The venue was around 75 mins drive from the centre of Marrakesh. It was totally amazing, in the middle of the dessert, stoney, not sandy but still great. The staff were lovely, the food gorgeous and the live traditional music was fab. It’s a must if you’re in Marrakesh.

Everybody was welcoming us , it was a misunderstanding at the beginning, but the man who spoke to me over the phone arranged it, the view and the people there are charming, magnificent place
