Half-Day Quad Biking tour in Agafay Desert

Tour operator did not turn up at hotel collection point. I waited for an hour, a very disappointing end to my Morocco trip

Our pick up driver arrived on time and was very friendly. He brought us to the Agafay desert where our guide took over. The guide was excellent, he made the whole experience a lot of fun particularly for my 2 (grown up) sons. We stopped for a tea break at a Berber house in the desert which was fun too. The guide took great photos at different points along the way, he also did a brilliant video of us while we were quad biking (he’s obviously very accomplished at this!) on our phone. All in all it was very good value. Some of the terrain is challenging but very manageable, it was a thrill ride for my husband and sons. Things to be aware of is that it’s very very dusty, your clothes will get covered in dust so wear old stuff. They do kit you out with a helmet and goggles so that’s all good. They use a blower at the end to help get the dust off your clothes so of course that added to the fun. It’s a bumpy ride so if you’re nervous maybe opt to ride on a 2 seater quad, I found it much easier! Seeing the desert is a very interesting experience, it’s quite rough so don’t expect golden sand but the views are excellent.

This was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish on the 18th of December. I was picked up from my accommodation in Hivernage and transported to Agafay. The team ensured I was kitted up and had a practice session before setting out into the desert. The ATVs were tricky at first but easy once you get the hang of it. We stopped for some tea, with a family near the mountains. The views of the sunset are absolutely amazing. An advice is you should wear outdoor clothes, it goes without saying that it's very dusty in the desert. I will recommend this tour 100%, I'll visit again when next in Marrakesh.
